Brief Life Sketch
Asael is Willis and Angie’s oldest son.
Asael was a born organizer. When he was ten years old he organized the JAZZ-BO orchestra.
He always had a project to make money, from fixing bicycles to raising eggs. When he was 16 he told his mother that he was going to make a lot of money because you can’t be happy unless you have a lot of money.
When he was 13 he and James E. Faust rode their bikes from SLC to Oak City, taking 22 hours.
He was a prisoner of war in 1944, escaping after eight months.
He ran for US Congress twice.
He lived in Rexburg Idaho, Sutter Creek California, Sugar City Idaho, and Oak City Utah.
Famous Sayings:
“Not half has ever been told, and just as well.”
"If you have any sense at all, you should thank the Lord every day because so many people don't have any."
"Chapter and verse?"
Said when people would quote something or say that so-and-so said this or that. Meaning, don't outright believe a quote unless they can back it up."When you're feeling really low, and looking down, there's always someone looking back up."
It was said that when he died, a thousand stories died with him.
